2021 TRI COUNTY SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY FAIR- Another Success!

The 2021 Tri-County Science & Technology Fair was a huge success! Hosted virtually this year due to the pandemic, the fair is the only one of its kind in New York State to include the lower grades. Approximately 400 students created 350 exhibits, which were evaluated by 170 judges from over 75 companies.

This year, it was not always easy for schools to host their own science fairs to pick candidates for the Tri-County Fair, yet almost 50 schools did! The High School division had over 200 students, and they were able to send five students to compete in the NYS Science Congress, held in June. Eleven students from the fair in grades 6-8 will continue on to Broadcom MASTERS, a national STEM competition. We are very proud of these students, who are continuing a long history of Tri-County students who continue to these advanced competitions. Last year, two of our students placed in the top 300 in Broadcom MASTERS. This was from a pool of 3,472 students from 42 states and Puerto Rico!

We congratulate all of our students for their accomplishments and wish our representatives from the Tri-County Science & Technology Fair much success as they compete later this year. We look forward to welcoming back students wishing to continue their scientific research next year in the fair!
